The Pathways Eagles will head out on the road to square off against Wade Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pathways is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
Pathways can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent game on Saturday. They breezed by Joshua Christian Academy on the road to the tune of 62-35. Given Pathways' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 206th, while Joshua Christian Academy is ranked 554th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Pathways' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carlos Escalera, who scored 15 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Steven Edwards, who scored 13 points along with five steals.
Meanwhile, Wade Christian Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher back in January after their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by City of Life Christian Academy at home and fell 69-20. Wade Christian Academy has struggled against City of Life Christian Academy recently, as their matchup back in January was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Pathways has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season. As for Wade Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
Pathways came up short against Wade Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 71-67. Can Pathways avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
