Stebbins has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Greenville Green Wave at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Stebbins will be strutting in after a win while Greenville will be coming in after a loss.
Stebbins scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They secured a 56-52 W over Tippecanoe. The win was all the more spectacular given Stebbins' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 579th, while Tippecanoe is ranked 117th).
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Greenville, who are still winless after their fifth matchup. They were outmatched by Xenia on the road and fell 74-41. Greenville has not had much luck with Xenia recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Greenville had strong showings from Owen Mcgreevey, who scored seven points along with five rebounds, and Chace Drew, who scored two points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Those five rebounds set a new season-high mark for him.
Even though they lost, Greenville were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Stebbins' victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Greenville, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-5.
Stebbins came out on top in a nail-biter against Greenville when the teams last played back in January, sneaking past 68-66. Does Stebbins have another victory up their sleeve, or will Greenville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
