Kents Hill School scored the most runs they've had this season on Wednesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the Monmouth Academy Mustangs by a score of 8-7. The Huskies were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 4-3.

Kents Hill School got a good showing from Noah Kline, who struck out ten batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit.

On the hitting side, Ben Hugessen made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Parker Savage was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.

Kents Hill School's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Monmouth Academy, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kents Hill School will face off against Portsmouth Abbey at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Ravens will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Huskies surely won't give up without a fight. As for Monmouth Academy, they will take on Boothbay at 4:00 p.m. on the 25th.
