Providence has gone 8-2 against Clarksville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Pioneers will head out on the road to face off against the Generals at 5:30 p.m. Providence is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.
While Providence's victory against Eastern wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pioneers narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Musketeers 5-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pioneers.

Presley Hegedus (2026) spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up 15 Ks. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.9 strikeouts per game.
On the hitting side, Lainey Weber (2028) was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Those RBI marked the first that she has brought in this season. Ceci Zeller (2026) was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Clarksville posted their closest victory since April 25, 2024 on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Christian Academy, sneaking past 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Generals in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won four in a row.
Clarksville also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Aaliyah Watts gave up just two earned runs on 14 hits and racked up eight Ks. Watts has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kenzie Alexander, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Clarksville hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Christian Academy struck out eight times.
Clarksville now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Providence, their record is now 5-2.
Providence skirted past Clarksville 3-1 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pioneers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
