If the Mountain View Thunder were feeling good off their 62-38 takedown of the Prairie Falcons last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Mountain View fell to the Hilanders 48-44. Mountain View was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hilanders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
When it comes to explaining why Mountain View lost on Tuesday, one person who can't be blamed is Nina Peterson. Despite the final result, she scored 13 points along with five steals. Peterson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Mylee Thompson, who scored nine points along with five steals.
Mountain View's loss dropped their record down to 14-4. As for Kelso, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-5.
Mountain View will take on the Timberwolves at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Heritage has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 13. As for Kelso, they will head out on the road to square off against the Plainsmen at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
