After soaring high against Belmont last week, Icarus fell to the ground on Friday. Shullsburg didn't finish too far behind, but the squad still lost 34-39 to Benton/Scales Mound IL. If Shullsburg were hoping to take revenge for the 0-36 loss against Benton/Scales Mound IL the last time the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
The defeat dropped Shullsburg's record to 1-3. The win got Benton/Scales Mound IL back to even at 2-2.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week Shullsburg take on Potosi/Cassville at 2:00 PM. Benton/Scales Mound IL will stay at home against Black Hawk at 7:00 PM.
