On Saturday, Somerset Prep didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Southridge, but they still walked away with a 43-38 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Somerset Prep.
It was another big night for Riley Stoker, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jocelyn Gagnon, who scored five points along with five assists.
Somerset Prep's win bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Southridge, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-5 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Somerset Prep and St. Thomas Aquinas will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 17th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Southridge, they will head out on the road to face off against Somerset Academy South Homestead at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Somerset Academy South Homestead will be looking to keep their eight-game home win streak alive.
