There's no place like home for Lovington, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  last Friday. They blew past the Goddard Rockets 66-35  on Tuesday. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11  matches by 22  points or more this season.
 Kayle Covington continued  his habit of posting crazy stat lines,  going 6-for-8  en route to 21 points and five  boards. What's more,  he also posted a 75%  field goal percentage, which is the highest he's  achieved since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Braxtyn Valenzuela, who  posted 14  points.
 Lovington was working as a unit and  finished the game with 20  assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Goddard only nine  assists.
 Goddard lost  despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was   Isaiah Mestas, who  scored 12 points. He is also on a roll when it comes to  shooting accuracy, as he's  posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's  played.  Eli Barncastle was another key player,  putting up five  points and five  rebounds.
Lovington's win bumped their record up to 15-10. As for Goddard, their loss dropped their record down to 10-14.
 Lovington didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  64-46  victory against Portales on the 21st. As for Goddard, they also  wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  game,  a  45-40  win against Artesia on the 21st.
