The Argyle Eagles's game on Friday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Grapevine. While losing is never fun, Argyle can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 463rd, while Grapevine is ranked 164th).
Argyle has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8-1 record this season. As for Grapevine, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3-7.
Argyle will head out on the road to face off against Denton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Denton's favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while Argyle has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road. Grapevine will take on Richland at 7:40 p.m. on Tuesday. Grapevine is facing Richland at the right time seeing as Richland is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
