Webb City is 8-0 against Neosho since October of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Webb City Cardinals will be playing at home against the Neosho Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. The timing seems to be in Webb City's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Neosho has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
Last Friday, Webb City came up short against Carthage and fell 20-13.
Despite the defeat, Webb City saw an underclassman step up: Gabe Johnson rushed for 121 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Neosho beat Ozark 20-14 on Friday.
Denver Welch continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 165 yards and a touchdown, while also picking up 62 receiving yards. Welch was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 53 yards.
Neosho's victory bumped their season record to 1-6 while Webb City's defeat dropped theirs to 5-2.
