Brown County moved up to 249 from 276 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Western Illinois Valley - North. The Hornets were able to move up by beating Mt. Olive 48-19.
Central extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Heyworth, 13-10. The win marks 10th in a row for the the Panthers.
Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia's Nate Shanks and Tristan Wise have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-7 quarterback Shanks has thrown for 364 yards this season, while Wise has 6 catches for 182 yards. Austin Kramberg from Central leads the league in rushing with 1,106 yards.
The top two teams in Western Illinois Valley - North will face off this week when first place Central takes on second place Brown County.
