Nuview Bridge has gone 8-2 against Temecula Prep recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Knights will challenge the Patriots at 3:15 p.m. Nuview Bridge has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 17.
Nuview Bridge came up short against San Jacinto Valley Academy last Thursday, falling 23-1.
Meanwhile, Temecula Prep made easy work of San Jacinto Leadership Academy on Friday and carried off a 16-1 win. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by eight runs or more this season.
Jasmine Burkey made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Temecula Prep let Ava Winkowski and Samiyah Antoine run wild. Winkowski got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs, while Antoine got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. Winkowski is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played. Kori Dawson was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Temecula Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .700. They are 9-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Temecula Prep is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.6 runs over those games. As for Nuview Bridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-16.
Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Nuview Bridge has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .444. However, it's not like Temecula Prep struggles in that department as they've averaged .539. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Nuview Bridge got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in March of 2025 against Temecula Prep by a conclusive 35-19 score. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Patriots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
