The American Prep WV Eagles struggled with assists on Monday (the Intermountain Christian Lions had 11 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Leticia Calderon, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Calderon has scored all season. Nicole Tran was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Elaine Lunsford was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 16 rebounds for Intermountain Christian. Lunsford hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Rebecca Wanner, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
American Prep WV's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Intermountain Christian, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-4.
