Milby dropped their record down to 20-8 on Thursday, which also ended the team's eight-game streak of wins. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (4-2), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat they have suffered since March 11th.

As for Victoria East, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games.

For Victoria East's part, Jaiden Salas spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kason Kolle, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Jazz Huff was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

While Milby had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
