The Glenn Bobcats will square off against the Walkertown Wolfpack at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Glenn's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Parkland with a sharp 22-0 win. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Addyson Irving and Kendall Fraas were a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Irving pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Fraas pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Irving has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season. At the plate, Irving scored two runs while going 2-for-4, while Fraas went 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs.
In other batting news, Kyleigh Ritter was a standout: she scored four runs while going 3-for-4. Kadence Lamonte was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three runs.
Glenn kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March of 2024.
Meanwhile, Walkertown put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Southwest Guilford 15-4. With that win, the Wolfpack brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.
Olivia Boast spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four runs (all of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up six Ks.
On the hitting side, Taylor Isley was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Macy Miller, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.
Walkertown pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Glenn, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Both Glenn and Walkertown just can't seem to miss. Glenn has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.8 hits per game. However, it's not like Walkertown struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.2 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance. Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
