Make it three blowout wins for the Faith Baptist School Falcons this season. They came out on top against Concord Christian Academy on Friday by a score of 50-28 (the very same score they lost by the week prior). With Faith Baptist School ahead 27-6 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Brenna Binkley was her usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with eight steals and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Bridget Binkley, who scored six points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Concord Christian Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Aubrey Collison, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals, and Sarah Veturys who scored four points along with three steals.
Faith Baptist School has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Concord Christian Academy, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Faith Baptist School will take on the Flames at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Greenwood Mennonite will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak. As for Concord Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge the Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Delaware (Fairwinds Christian is ranked 56th, while the Minutemen are ranked 55th).
