 In other batting news,  Dylan Bishop and  Reed Robinson did most of the damage at the plate:  Bishop  went 1-for-2 with a  home run, while  Robinson  went 2-for-3 with a  triple, a  stolen base,  and a  run. Another player making a difference was  Jordan Davis, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Hanover Central had already won 14 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.6 runs), and they went ahead and made it 15 on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged the Mustangs out  4-3. That's two games straight that Hanover Central has won by  just one  run.
 New Prairie's win was  their fourth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 15-4. As for Hanover Central, their victory bumped their record up to 17-2.
 New Prairie came out on top in a nail-biter against Hanover Central  in their previous matchup  back in May of 2023, sneaking past  7-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for New Prairie since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
