The Walton Braves entered their tilt with the North Bay Haven Academy Buccaneers with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Walton simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat North Bay Haven Academy 63-22 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Walton has managed all season.
Leading Walton to victory were Antoine Morris and Jawann Campbell. Morris scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and two steals, while Campbell scored nine points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Campbell pulled down eight or more rebounds. Luke Kring was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with nine rebounds.
Walton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. As for North Bay Haven Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-19.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Walton on the road again on Friday and play against South Walton at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Hopefully South Walton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Wednesday. As for North Bay Haven Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Mosley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Mosley's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while North Bay Haven Academy has been banged up by nine consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
