When it comes to explaining why Prairie View lost, one person who can't be blamed is Javon Brewton. Despite the final result, he scored 23 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Brewton has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Randall Rogos, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds.
Monarch pushed their record up to 15-5 with that victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.
