The Lincoln Tigers were the 56-0 winner over the Wilson Mules when they last played one another back in September of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Lincoln fell just short of Wilson by a score of 32-30.
Lincoln's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Joshua Sosa, who picked up 125 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Jacob Gomez, who threw for 158 yards and two touchdowns.
Among those leading the charge was Brandon Coronel, who rushed for 130 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. Coronel was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 60 yards. Adrian Anaya was in the mix as well, providing Wilson with two touchdowns.
Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Wilson, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lincoln will take on Westchester at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Westchester focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up four on Friday. As for Wilson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Roosevelt at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
