The Carver Crusaders will take on the St. John Paul II Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Carver's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They came out on top against Mashpee by a score of 3-0. The win was some much needed relief for the Crusaders as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Kyle Carey made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over seven innings pitched. He has become a key player for Carver: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most one hit, but 3-10 otherwise. Carey was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April.
St. John Paul II let Archbishop Williams stack six runs on them in the second inning on Tuesday but luckily St. John Paul II prevailed anyway. The Lions walked away with an 11-6 victory over the Bishops. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Bishops recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Like Carver, St. John Paul II also got a great game from a two-way player: Henry Roy. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out nine over 5.1 innings pitched. Roy has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Logan Our, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Colin Buckley, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI and one run.
Carver picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 5-11. As for St. John Paul II, their win bumped their record up to 19-2.
Carver might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from St. John Paul II in their previous meeting on Thursday. Will the Crusaders have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more baseball content.
