Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Savannah Christian). They came out on top against the First Preparatory Christian Academy Highlanders by a score of 70-62 on Friday. The Raiders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Highlanders, too.

Despite the loss, First Preparatory Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Jaiden Thomas, who went 7 for 13 from beyond the arc on his way to 45 points and three steals. That was a full 72.6% of First Preparatory Christian Academy's points, marking the third time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Betton, who had eight points and six steals.

The victory made it two in a row for Savannah Christian and bumps their season record up to 4-6. As for First Preparatory Christian Academy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-2.

Savannah Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-42 win against Lake Oconee Academy on the 28th. As for First Preparatory Christian Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Savannah Classical Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
