A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Trinity Christian School of Griffin LIONS challenge the Peachtree Academy Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday... Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.
Trinity Christian School of Griffin is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Skipstone Academy to the tune of 79-36 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the LIONS have posted since December 16, 2023.

Trinity Christian School of Griffin's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Israel Lockridge, who went 8 for 12 on his way to 19 points in addition to eight boards and six assists. Lockridge is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least five every time he's taken the court this season. Jeremiah Greene was another key player, going 6 for 7 on his way to 15 points and six steals.
Meanwhile, Peachtree Academy came up short against Westminster Christian Academy on Friday and fell 71-63. Even though they lost, the Panthers' still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 50.6 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Despite the defeat, Peachtree Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Caleb Jackson went 7 of 16 on his way to 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jackson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordi Bello, who posted 11 points in addition to five boards and three blocks.
Lockridge wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Peachtree Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in November of 2023.
The win got Trinity Christian School of Griffin back to even at 2-2. As for Peachtree Academy, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Keep an eye on the arc in Monday's match: Trinity Christian School of Griffin has been dynamite from deep this season, having made 53.7% of their three-pointers per game. It's a different story for Peachtree Academy, though, as they've only made 21.6% of their threes this season. Given Trinity Christian School of Griffin's sizable advantage in that area, Peachtree Academy will need to find a way to close that gap.
