Basketball Recap: Hampton Extends Winning Streak to Four

Hampton had won three straight games and Gavin Kay did his part to make it four on Friday. The Hampton Crabbers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Gloucester Dukes 61-24 thanks in part to Kay, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 boards. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points.

Another player making a difference was Jawaun Tucker, who posted 11 points. What's more, he also posted a 67% field goal percentage, which is the highest he's posted since back in February of 2024.

Hampton pushed their record up to 13-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Gloucester, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-17.

Looking ahead, Hampton will take on Menchville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gloucester, they will venture away from home to square off against West Point at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
