Softball Recap: Dos Palos Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Dos Palos waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Everything went their way against the Firebaugh Eagles as they made off with a 13-1 victory. The Broncos might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.

Breann Raney made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Dos Palos let Samantha VonAllman and Carly Brinkley run wild. VonAllman went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple, while Brinkley went 2-for-3 with two triples, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most stolen bases VonAllman has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Liliana DelaRosa, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Dos Palos kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Dos Palos' record is now 11-7-1. As for Firebaugh, their loss was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-16.

Dos Palos has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Coalinga on the 25th. As for Firebaugh, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-1 loss against Mendota on the 25th.
