Omega (8 Man) recap Sept. 26, 2012
Westmark's Jake Sternbaum recorded the longest rushing play in Omega (8 Man) this season in his game against Pilgrim last week. Sternbaum scampered for 74 yards on the play and finished with 74 on the day as his team beat the Patriots.
Hillcrest Christian's dynamic duo of Teddy Rettinger and Austin Ochoa proved tough for Liberty Christian to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Rettinger threw for 115 yards and Ochoa had 85 yards receiving. Jordan Owen helped Hillcrest Christian's passing attack out by catching five balls for 47 yards.
Ochoa made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Saints lost to the Minutemen. The senior pulled down one interception.
Michael deBie was the most productive running back in the league this week. In four carries, he ran for 121 yards as Westmark lost to Liberty Christian. Will Kerher also contributed to the rushing game with 95 yards on the ground.
Robert Fanto's team's Rettinger and Ochoa have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Rettinger has thrown for 596 yards this season, while Ochoa has 15 catches for 336 yards. deBie from Perry Skaggs's team leads the league in rushing with 253 yards.
The Lions led Omega (8 Man) in scoring this week after putting up 64 points on Pilgrim. deBie in the win.
