For the second straight game, Jamestown will face off against Lafayette. The Eagles will host the Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Jamestown is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.
Jamestown was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Lafayette on Friday. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 12-4 margin over the Rams. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won five in a row.
Grace Hughes made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned runs off eight hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. She also hit a triple, marking her first of the season.

In other batting news, Zoe Mayes (Marymount University) was incredible, going 4-for-5 with six RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Tenley Medlin was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Jamestown kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lafayette only managed seven.
Lafayette's defeat dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Jamestown, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.
Lafayette's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Jamestown hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .317.
