The Creekside Seminoles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 15th straight loss. They were outmatched by Midtown at home and fell 81-50. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Creekside of the 64-44 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
When it comes to explaining why Creekside lost, one person who can't be blamed is Avery Gelsey. Despite the final result, he scored 15 points. Cadence Burch was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Creekside dropped their record down to 1-19 with that defeat, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Midtown, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-14.
Creekside will take on the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Villa Rica is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak. As for Midtown, they will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Tri-Cities' favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matchups.
