It was a good run, but the Bolton Central Eagles unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 56-38 bruising from Boquet Valley. Bolton Central has struggled against Boquet Valley recently, as their match on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Maille Kelley, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Thea Kennedy, who scored 12 points.
Leading Boquet Valley to victory were Ella Lobdell and Sophie Pulsifer. Lobdell scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals, while Pulsifer dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Pulsifer has scored all season. Claire Reynolds was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Bolton Central's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-1. As for Boquet Valley, they pushed their record up to 8-6 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Bolton Central will take on Chazy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Boquet Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Crown Point at 6:30 p.m.
