McKinney lost against Plano West back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lions fell just short of the Wolves by a score of 2-1. The Lions' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Their offense was headlined by Leah Duncan and Emerie McDonald, who picked up 12 kills apiece. They got some help from Keira Gallegos and her 33 assists.

McKinney's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Plano West, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-1.

McKinney wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Amarillo on the 22nd. As for Plano West, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Walnut Grove on the 22nd.
