Troy had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Tippecanoe on Thursday. The Trojans put the hurt on the Red Devils with a sharp 11-4 win. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by seven runs or more this season.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Troy, bringing their record up to 8-7. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Tippecanoe, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Troy will venture away from home to square off against Piqua at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans are facing the Indians at the right time seeing as the Indians are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Tippecanoe, they will head out to take on Butler at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Aviators will roll in looking for their 16th straight victory, something the Red Devils surely won't give up without a fight.
