Northview has gone 9-1 against Brown County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Knights will be playing at home against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Brown County took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Northview, who comes in off a win.
Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Northview turned things around against South Putnam on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 7-2. The game was the first time the Knights have beaten the Eagles on their field since May 8, 2018.
Maggie Krause spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one walk in 15 consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Mackie Pell was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Batchelor, who went 2-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Northview was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Putnam only posted a batting average of .231.
Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Brown County's offense. They lost 22-0 to West Vigo on Tuesday. The Eagles have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Brown County's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Northview, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.
Northview was able to grind out a solid victory over Brown County in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, winning 6-1. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
