The Foothill Cougars lost against the Shasta Wolves back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Foothill fell to Shasta 49-45. Foothill has not had much luck with Shasta recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Foothill's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Van Warren, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Zanhiser, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
Foothill has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-7 record this season. As for Shasta, they pushed their record up to 11-9 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Foothill will take on West Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Shasta, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Pleasant Valley at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th.
