Williamston won the last time they faced Haslett and things went their way  on Tuesday too. The Hornets put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp  15-4 victory. The Hornets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six  runs or more this season.
 Thea Fortin made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  pitched four innings while giving up  three earned runs off   five  hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double. That's the most  RBI  she has posted  over her last 14  games.
 In other batting news,  Jaiden Griffith was  incredible,  firing off three  triples, three  runs,  and four  RBI while going 3-for-4. Those  three  triples gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Katie Bush, who  got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with two  stolen bases and two  runs.
 Williamston  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters  in six consecutive  contests.
Williamston's win bumped their record up to 17-9. As for Haslett, they dropped their record down to 3-15 with the  defeat, which was their ninth straight  at home dating back to last season.
 Williamston will have some time to savor their  victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lake Fenton at 4:00  p.m.  on  the 28th. As for Haslett, they will face off against Okemos at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
