Rosamond has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against The Bishop Union Broncos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Wednesday, Rosamond was fully in charge, breezing past Desert 88-20 at home.
Ty'shawn Flowers was his usual excellent self, rushing for 130 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 176 yards and four touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes. Flowers hasn't dropped below three passing touchdowns for four straight games. Robert Evans also helped out as he racked up 102 rushing yards.
Meanwhile, Bishop Union entered their tilt with Kern Valley with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Bishop Union breezed by Kern Valley on the road to the tune of 43-12. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Bishop Union had established a 24 point advantage.
Bishop Union's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Boden St. marie, who punched in two rushing scores, and also threw for 171 yards and two touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes. Levi Derr also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Their wins bumped Rosamond to 6-3 and Bishop Union to 8-1.
Rosamond took a serious blow against Bishop Union when the teams last played back in October of 2022, falling 37-6. Can Rosamond avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
