There's no place like home for the McCook Bison, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Friday. They walked away with a 52-41 win over Valentine on Saturday. That's another feather in the cap for McCook, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Valentine's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaac Cronin, who scored 15 points. Cronin scored a full 36.6% of Valentine's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Dominic Beebout, who scored 10 points.
The victory got McCook back to even at 1-1. As for Valentine, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
McCook will take on Ulysses at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Valentine, they will head out on the road to face off against Mullen on Tuesday.
