The Windsor Locks Raiders will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Canton Warriors at 6:45 p.m. Canton took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Windsor Locks, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Windsor Locks didn't have too much trouble with Rockville at home as they won 42-25.
Windsor Locks relied on the efforts of Maeve McGinnis, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and seven steals, and Shayla Gamache, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and six steals. That's the first time this season that Gamache grabbed two or more steals. Katie Gough was another key contributor, scoring five points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Canton ended up a good deal behind Ellington on Saturday and lost 60-41. While losing is never fun, Canton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 88th, while Ellington is ranked 18th).
Windsor Locks is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season. As for Canton, they bumped their record down to 3-5 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
