The Apollo Hawks will face off against the Tolleson Wolverines at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Apollo barely beat West Point the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Hawks put the hurt on the Dragons with a sharp 13-1 victory on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Hawks sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Rey Garcia made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Mateo Flores, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March. Another player making a difference was Diego Ramos, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Apollo was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .609. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .318 or higher in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Tolleson owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over Basha. The win was familiar territory for the Wolverines, who have now won three games in a row.
Tolleson also got a great performance from DIEGO SERNA as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 13 over 6.2 innings pitched. SERNA has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, JOSE CORRALES was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. He has become a key player for Tolleson: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 4-8-1 otherwise. AMARI LUCAS was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
Apollo pushed their record up to 13-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Tolleson, their victory bumped their record up to 11-8-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Apollo has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Tolleson struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Apollo came up short against Tolleson when the teams last played back in February of 2017, falling 9-4. Will the Hawks have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
