Basketball Recap: Pensacola Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Pensacola Christian Academy was the 79-58 winner over Rocky Bayou Christian when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Pensacola Christian Academy Warriors received a blow on Thursday as they fell 70-56 to the Rocky Bayou Christian Knights.

Defeat or not, Pensacola Christian Academy got some senior leadership from Quincy Williams and Jake Stoodt. Williams posted 28 points, while Stoodt went 5 of 9 en route to 15 points and four steals. Stoodt's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Stephen Day, who scored four points and seven boards.

Rocky Bayou Christian was led to victory by Harrison Sanders and Carver Knapp. Sanders went 8 for 15 on his way to 25 points and five assists, while Knapp put up 12 points and six rebounds. Sanders continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Jake Mcmullan also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Pensacola Christian Academy dropped their record down to 7-7 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Rocky Bayou Christian, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-9.

Pensacola Christian Academy has already played their next game, a 61-44 defeat against Laurel Hill on the 10th. As for Rocky Bayou Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 61-51 loss against Freeport on the 10th.
