With a playoff game on the line, the St. Rita Mustangs rose to the challenge on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 21-7 win over the Broncos. The win was nothing new for St. Rita as they're now sitting on three straight.
St. Rita can attribute much of their success to Derrick Stewart, who rushed for 125 yards and three touchdowns.
St. Rita's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB six times. Leading the way was J.P. Danaher and his four sacks.
St. Rita pushed their record up to 8-5 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Kenwood, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 8-5.
St. Rita does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Kenwood also has no future games currently scheduled.
