Centennial can finally bid farewell to their 13-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They managed a 46-41 victory over Summit.
Centennial's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bethany Wright, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. Wright has been hot recently, having posted ten or more rebounds the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Gorday, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Nolensville came up short against the Bruins on Friday and fell 46-36. While losing is never fun, Nolensville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 106th, while the Bruins are ranked 20th).
Centennial's victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-19. As for Nolensville, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-8.
Things could have been worse for Centennial, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 45-29 loss to the Knights in their previous matchup on Wednesday.
