The Brook Hill Guard and the Grace Prep Lions squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Brook Hill Guard had to settle for second. Brook Hill's rough 37-13 loss to Grace Prep might stick with them for a while. Brook Hill was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Grace Prep apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Grace Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kaden Lehew, who rushed for 219 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. Lehew's longest rush was for an incredible 93 yards. Bryce Prince was another key contributor, rushing for 133 yards and a touchdown.
Brook Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Grace Prep, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.
Brook Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Grace Prep is on the road again on Saturday and play against Trinity Christian. Trinity Christian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Grace Prep in Texas (Trinity Christian is ranked 284th, while Grace Prep is ranked 833rd).
