 In other batting news, Western Boone let  Quinn Westerfeld and  Gavin Hawkins run wild. Westerfeld  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  home run, while  Hawkins  went 3-for-4 with two  doubles, two  RBI,  and one  run. Those  two  doubles gave  Hawkins a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Owen Howe, who  went 1-for-2 with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI.
Western Boone's record is now 12-9. As for Frankfort,  they are  on  a  seven-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 10-9.
 Coming up, Western Boone will welcome Clinton Central  at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.71  runs per game on average), something the Stars will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Frankfort, they will face off against Warsaw at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
