This season hasn't been kind to the Jefferson Democrats, who are still winless after their 11th match. They were outmatched by Manual Arts at home and fell 107-27. Jefferson has not had much luck with Manual Arts recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Manual Arts was led to victory by RJ Dawson and Devin Moody. Dawson dropped a triple-double on 23 points, ten assists, and 12 steals, while Moody dropped a double-double on 36 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Moody has scored at least a third of Manual Arts' points. Another player making a difference was Songhai Glover, who scored ten points along with seven steals and five rebounds.
Jefferson dropped their record down to 0-11 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Manual Arts, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 21-2 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jefferson's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Santee at 4:30 p.m. on January 26th. Manual Arts will take on West Adams at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. West Adams will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1122nd, while Manual Arts is ranked 301st).
