Humble Christian was led to victory by Deriyah Williams and Lilly McMullen. Williams went 5 for 9 en route to 11 points plus eight steals and five assists, while McMullen dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. McMullen is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Ivy Miller, who had two points in addition to five steals.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Spring Baptist Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Community Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
