If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Calallen. On Friday they will take on Tuloso-Midway at 7:30 PM. Calallen don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
Calallen might be getting used to good results now that the team has four wins in a row. They strolled past Southside with points to spare last Friday, taking the contest 27-7. Among those leading the charge for Calallen was senior A.J. Brown, who rushed for 91 yards and 2 touchdowns. Brown has now scored at least one touchdown in the past six games.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Tuloso-Midway, and their game last Friday only extended their streak of losses to four. They were dealt a punishing 14-56 defeat at the hands of Calhoun. Tuloso-Midway were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 14-35.
Everything came up roses for Calallen against Tuloso-Midway the last time the two teams met as the squad secured a 78-0 victory. Will Calallen repeat their success, or does Tuloso-Midway have a better game plan this time around ? We'll find out soon enough.
