Baseball Recap: Stoutland Takes a Loss

Stoutland lost against Dixon back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Tigers fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 3-2. The Tigers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Stoutland saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Morrow, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Devin Barnwell also deserves some recognition as he scored his first runs of the season.

Stoutland's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Dixon, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Looking ahead, Stoutland will be playing in front of their home fans against Vienna at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Dixon, they will be taking part in a tournament against Linn at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
