It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Mangham Dragons had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past Centerville, posting a 53-14 win on the road. The win was familiar territory for Mangham who now have six in a row.
Despite the defeat, Centerville saw an underclassman step up: Taeshawn Jones picked up 131 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Mangham pushed their record up to 7-4 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.0 points per game. As for Centerville, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.
Mangham will face off against Oak Grove at TBD on Friday. Oak Grove knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matchups -- so hopefully Mangham likes a good challenge. Centerville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
