Highlander Charter had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against Scituate by a score of 69-58 on Tuesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Despite the loss, Scituate saw an underclassman step up: Ryan Larsh scored 23 points along with six rebounds. Cam Healey was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Highlander Charter's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Scituate, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-1.
Highlander Charter will be playing at home against Achievement First Providence at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Scituate, they will head out on the road to face off against Blackstone Valley Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
