The Pleasant Grove Hawks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 43-29 bruising from Cooper. Pleasant Grove was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Cooper apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2016.
Cooper was led to victory by Marilynn Wilkerson and Bayleigh George. Wilkerson scored 14 points along with 7 rebounds, while George scored 9 points along with 8 steals. Halle Toon was another key contributor, scoring 4 points along with 3 steals.
Pleasant Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Cooper, their victory bumped their record up to 4-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pleasant Grove will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on New Diana at 6:30 p.m. on December 12th. As for Cooper, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Prairiland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
